Hello, fellow travelers! My name is Gabe, and I live in Seattle, Washington. I love to travel, and I'm fortunate I get to explore the world as part of my job at Rick Steves’ Europe. When I'm not hosting our weekly virtual event series called Monday Night Travel, I’m teaching people about our tours, managing our nonprofit partnerships, and writing about the exciting European destinations I visit. Before working for Rick Steves’ Europe and living in Seattle, I was a high school Spanish teacher in Grand Rapids, Michigan. And before that, I lived in several places around the world, including York, England; Oviedo, Spain; and Castres, France!
Now I’m wondering: Do you want to come on my next adventure with me? I'm currently getting ready to fly to Italy to explore fascinating cities, experience long-held traditions, and, of course, indulge in a variety of Italian cuisine. From Rome to Puglia to Matera and back up to the Amalfi Coast and Naples, there's so much history and culture to discover. Along the way, I'll be investigating my surroundings for you, looking for answers to your questions about Italy, and reporting what I find during live video calls with your classroom.
