In 2017, they decided to start Mar Yousef's Pizza, an Italian restaurant. This restaurant is in the basement of the church. That's why I call it the "pizza church"!
The pizza church gives Iraqi refugees training in how to make Italian food. There is a restaurant and kitchen, and I ate at both of them. I even wrote about it! Iraqis are the cooks and the waiters, but the taste is 100% Italian!
The food is really good. There are breads, cheeses and pizzas that the restaurant makes from scratch. There is even ice cream! It is a great way to help the Iraqi Christian community and serve delicious food to everyone in Amman.
