Traveler Bio

Hello! My name is Gerald Brady and I am originally from Wilmington, Delaware. I grew up in a family of teachers so a love of education was instilled in me from an early age. I lived my whole life in Delaware, even staying at the University of Delaware for college. I taught high school Social Studies for a year before I decided to join the Peace Corps.

The Peace Corps is a perfect opportunity for me to combine my passion for education with my desire to have an impact on the world. I love to travel and I have been to several countries in Europe as well as States all over the US. My journeys have taught me the importance of global citizenship and that we have a responsibility to be committed to each others' well-being regardless of religion, race, ethnicity, and more.

I hope that the highlights of my journeys and the challenges that I face can be informative to others. As an educator, I understand how important it is to learn from the experiences of others, and as someone who has traveled a lot, I know how important it is to learn about the world outside of your home. I look forward to having more people along this journey with me!

Peace Corps Volunteers like me live and work side by side with community members around the world, collaborating on locally prioritized projects, building relationships, exchanging cultures and knowledge, and helping transform lives for generations. Learn more by clicking here.
