Getting Around Ireland

If you were to go to one of the Irish Islands, you would need to fly or take a ferry. Some of these islands are called the Aran Islands which are known famously for warm woolen sweaters that are made for their local fishermen to stay warm while braving the elements at sea.

Another way to get around various parts of Ireland is by a tour bus. This is great for tourists or people who don't drive so that they can explore beyond the area that they're staying in.

How did I feel when I tried this way of getting around?:

Two modes of transportation that I've used the most include walking and taking buses. It is nice to be able to walk from where I'm staying to the University and then into the city as well. The weather can change pretty quickly in Galway so sometimes to get out of the wind and rain, you hop aboard a bus instead. The bus is very convenient in Galway, taking me from place to place. They even have WiFi aboard the buses and some of the newer ones have USB ports to charge cell phones. I feel very connected to the area while walking because I see so many other people walking too. I also get to notice the scenery as I pass by. On the bus, I am able to see a bit more scenery because you go further out and into different towns. There's one specific bus that runs to my University and I've taken it end-to-end to explore new and different areas.

Is this way of getting around connected to the culture and environment, How?:

This way of getting around is definitely connected to the environment. If you make the decision to walk, you're saving space for others to take public transport and you are burning calories, which is great for your personal health.
