The coolest thing I saw in nature this week was a bright, beautiful sunset as I was walking home! The sky turned such a bright shade of orange that it looked like a giant painting. I could see the sun slowly going down behind the mountains in the distance near the city. It really was a magical nature moment!
Palermo has many little parks scattered all around the city, and the plants there look very different from the ones you would see in the United States. At the park, I saw tall palm trees, bright flowers, spiky plants and massive trees with huge roots. Some trees even had oranges or lemons growing on them! There were lots of birds flying around, and the whole park felt warm and sunny. It was fun to explore and see so many new plants and animals.
