Vitajte (Welcome)! My name is Grace Pawluszka. I am 22 years old and recently graduated from college. My hometown is Warren, MI, just outside of Detroit. Growing up in Michigan, I spent my summers on the beaches of Lake Michigan, attended baseball games in Detroit, went rollerblading and bike riding with friends, and ice skating in the winter. I attended Central Michigan University for college, which is in Mount Pleasant, MI, about two hours north of Detroit. In college, I studied music education and business administration with plans to be a music teacher or work in the music industry. My main instrument is saxophone, but I learned how to play all of the different instruments as part of my degree!
Near the end of my studies, I applied for and was fortunate to recieve a Fulbright English Teaching Assistantship in Slovakia. My heritage and experiences in the country lead me to choose Slovakia. I graciously accepted the offer and will spend a year in Spišská Nová Ves, Slovakia teaching English at a vocational high school that specializes in business.
I am excited to share my adventures with you all as I explore this new culture and country. I look forward to learning more about you as well during the school year!
