Just Another Day (and Night) in a Korean High School

What is your homework like?:

Yena: There’s not a lot of homework for third years as we prepare for the Suneung (Korean SAT).
Yesung: My homework is usually more research or project-based. We are given a topic/question, do research online and then report back in a presentation or written report.

What do you like to do after school? Do you have a favorite sport or game?:

(We didn't get a chance to talk about this question.)

Who is your favorite famous person?:

Yena: I really like the actor Lee Joonki because he’s handsome and acts well. Yesung: IU is pretty, kind and a very talented singer/actress.

What kinds of music do you listen to?:

Yena: I like listening to K-pop idols and Korean R&B like AKMU and Heize. I like a few English songs by Lauv.

What would you like to be when you grow up?:

Yena: Just an average office worker at a company in Seoul. Yesung: I wanted to be a Korean medicine doctor when I was younger.

If you could go anywhere in the world, where would you go?:

Yena: I want to go to Hawaii because the time is completely different than in Korea. Yesung: Japan. It’s not far from Korea, and the food is similar to Korea, so I would like to visit.
