Traveler Bio

Hello everyone!

My name is Grace Zheng (pronounced z-ang) and I am originally from Albuquerque, New Mexico. I am currently a junior studying Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing. After undergrad, I plan on working in public relations to help minority communities have equal opportunities such as the chance to study abroad. Growing up, I never thought it would be possible to attend school outside of my hometown let alone out of the country! During this experience, I want to open my horizons and become more globally knowledgeable. I will be studying at the University of Leeds in England and I am beyond excited to start this new journey!

I am also a huge foodie so I love to try new cuisines and learn about the history along the way. I believe food is one of the best ways to learn about cultures outside of my own. New Mexico is known as the "chile capital" of the world and it really is sacred to our state! In exchange, I want to visit as many countries as possible such as Portugal, Spain, Denmark, Sweden, and more!

Follow along as I embark on the journey of becoming a world traveler!

I am a Fund for Education Abroad scholarship recipient. The mission of the Fund for Education Abroad (FEA) is to provide scholarships and ongoing support to students who are underrepresented among the U.S. study-abroad population. FEA aims to support students of color, first-generation college, and community college students with awards amounts of up to $10,000 for an academic year abroad.
