The weather is very similar to how it is back in Massachusetts— a light jacket is perfect in the brisk air. There are few clouds, and sometimes you can feel the warmth of the sun despite the temperature.
I did not see many animals this week as it is still early spring, but I did see some little orange weasels on my way down Hallasan. They had long, skinny bodies and were very fluffy!
There is a lot of natural beauty on Jejudo, but the most interesting thing I saw was Manjanggul cave! It is the world's 12th longest lava tube, and for about half a mile the cave is open to walk through. It was very dark and had a rather creepy ambiance, but certain parts of the tube were lit up so you could see different patterns in the rocks made by the lava flow as well as rock formations like stalactites.
