This is how Nailah's school prepares for the day, including live drumming, songs and words of encouragement. The girls are required to cut their hair and wear uniforms while in school.

This is called porridge or coco. It is made with sugar, ginger, pepper and other spices. The taste reminds me of apple cider.

Although Nailah is enrolled in a school here at the University of Ghana campus, I believe that it is just as important to homeschool her to give her that extra push in her academic work.
