Hola con todos! My name is Hannah, and I’m so excited for you to experience a bit of Peru with me. My hometown is Huntsville, AL, affectionately called Rocket City for all the work done for NASA there! Ever since I was in first grade, I knew I wanted to be an elementary teacher. When I went to Auburn University, I studied Elementary Education and Spanish, but my dream was to combine my passion for education with my love for Spanish before starting my elementary teaching career. I applied to teach English in Peru through the Fulbright Program, and now I am living out my dream of teaching English to Spanish-speaking students! While they are learning English and US culture, I am improving my Spanish and understanding of Peruvian culture. My hope is that this experience will help make me into a better teacher by the time I return to the US. For now, you can catch me exploring all the natural beauty Peru has to offer, viewing the stunning sunset from my window each evening, indulging one of the world’s top gastronomies, and finding out more about the rich history and culture of Peru!
