Bonjour tout le monde (hello everyone)! My name is Hanna, and I'm excited to share my traveling journey with you! I'm 22 years old, and finishing my last year of undergraduate studies at the University of California, Berkeley. I'm studying Comparative Literature and French as my areas of study and now, I'm spending the semester studying and living abroad in France! I'm taking classes at the Université de Bordeaux Montaigne, in one of the three largest cities in France: Bordeaux. Nestled in the campagne (countryside) by the Atlantic Ocean in the southwest of France, Bordeaux is considered the wine capital of the world by the World Heritage Site. There is so much to see and learn here, even the smallest of journeys within my daily life here are exciting. Just a simple bus ride from one part of the city to another, reveals a picturesque landscape of vineyards, grand chateaus (castles), historic churches, and cafés with the most delicious smells!
I have always called Northern California home, from growing up in the valley of Sacramento, to going to university in the Bay Area, and traveling from the mountains to all along the coastline. Now, I get to explore and call a new place home, while navigating a new culture, language, and way of life in France. I can't wait to share my adventures with you and hear about what you're learning at school, too!
