Hi everyone! It is officially April and the school year is starting to wind down, which means this will be the last article that I write for you all. While I will still be living in the Dominican Republic until October of this year, my focus has been shifted to wrapping up projects, finishing the school year, and preparing for summer learning opportunities for my students here.
I want to say thank you for the opportunity to connect with all of you and the opportunity to share all that I have learned about the Dominican Republic in my time living here. It has meant so much to be able to exchange experiences and be a small part of your learning journey.
As you continue your studies, I encourage you to keep practicing your Spanish language skills. Being able to communicate in another language helps create a lot of opportunities, and for me, it has been one of the most rewarding parts of my journey. I have also been incredibly fortunate to travel and to live in different countries and connect with lots of different people. These experiences have been truly life changing and have shaped my perspectives. If you ever have the chance, I encourage you to explore opportunities like travel or study abroad when you are older.
