As I’m wrapping up my study abroad journey in Barcelona, I’m feeling a mix of different emotions. While I do miss home and have already had the opportunity to travel to a variety of different cities both in and out of Spain, I feel like there’s still so much that I’ve left untouched in Barcelona even though I do my best to try something new everyday.
I still remember my first day in Barcelona and feeling so lost because I didn’t know how the metro system worked. I also remember when I was still really nervous ordering in castellano. Now, I’m happy to say that I’ve become more natural and confident in speaking which would’ve sounded unreal to the me in January.
This experience has truly been life changing, and I wouldn't have done anything differently. If you’re thinking about studying abroad in Barcelona, I’d highly recommend it! If you’re interested in going to the beach, it’s a 20 minute metro ride away. If you want to shop in the city center, then that’s only a 30 minute metro ride away. Traveling between different European cities isn’t a problem either. There’s so many different types of activities to do, and there’s something new to explore everyday.
