Hi, everyone! My name is Helen, and I am from Savannah, Georgia. I went to school in Savannah, as well. I graduated from Savannah State University (Go Tigers!) and then went to Tulane University in New Orleans. I am now living in St. Augustine, Trinidad & Tobago because I am a Fulbright Scholar. As a Fulbright Scholar, I am here to learn about a new culture and share mine as well, so I can come back home and tell everyone about my great experiences with the people in Trinidad and they can tell their friends all about American culture.
I am also conducting research in water quality while I am here, which means I get to continue doing what I love. I am going to be living here until July 2020, so I will have a lot of time to explore this lovely island and see all kinds of cool sights. I am mainly excited about seeing the beaches. I spent a lot of time in Savannah at the beach, and my research project here deals with water quality at beaches. My passion is to keep people healthy and safe while they are enjoying a relaxing time in the water.
Besides hanging out at beaches, I spend a lot of time traveling. I have been to eight different countries and really enjoy learning about new cultures and trying new foods.
