How I Travel Around in London!

One place I always pass when I’m on the bus is Big Ben, which the bus has a great view of. Be careful though, when going down the stairs because the bus also moves very quickly!

How did I feel when I tried this way of getting around?:

When I first tried using the Tube, I thought it was similar to taking the trains in Philadelphia, but way cooler. The Tube in London only opens its doors if you press a button, and the Tube is way cleaner than the Philly trains. When I first took the bus, I was so happy that I could see all of London and could transfer to different buses easily. This was the first time seeing a double-decker bus, and now it's one of the things I will miss the most. My friends and I take public transportation everywhere, and we all agree it's very easy and enjoyable.

Is this way of getting around connected to the culture and environment, How?:

Public transportation is a big part of how people live every day. Many people use it to go to school, work and many different places, which makes it a huge part of the city’s culture. It’s also very good for the environment because when many people use it, it means there are fewer cars on the road. This makes the air cleaner and healthier to breathe in. Using public transportation helps take care of the Earth while helping people get around quickly and easily!
