We hiked 17 kilometers, about 10.5 miles, to reach the two trail cameras from camp.
I have been reading "The Kingdon Field Guide to African Mammals," and recent scientific journal articles about research with trail cameras in Central Africa. As a scientist, you always have to stay up to date with the latest research. At night I often read fantasy novels and have been working my way through the Forgotten Realms books which are typical stories about dragons, elves and dwarves.
I had no time for games this week, and sports are difficult to play in the forest. When in the capital city with power and internet, I often play video games on my computer and my recent game is Stardew Valley, which is a farming game. With all of the work and traveling, it is nice to just relax and let my mind focus on a game when I have a break.
I have collected my first month of data from my trail cameras and the research is going well. I even obtained videos of chimpanzee in the cocoa farms.
