Hello! My name is Iman Mustafa and I am 22 years old. I live in Seattle, Washington and was born and raised here. I always knew I wanted to travel, but did not think I would have the opportunity to leave the country so young. I applied to study abroad in Rome, and thanks to the Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship, this dream became a reality!
Even though I did not speak Italian and had never traveled to Italy before, the idea of living in Rome made me happy--not scared. I was excited to immerse myself in a new culture, food, and space. I loved navigating a new place, meeting new friends, and doing on new adventures every week. Together, we're going to be able to re-visit those experiences, and I can't wait to get going!
