Integrating Into the Shanghai Community

However, this treatment is not completely new to me. When I was younger, I used to have a hard time joining the boys that played in my school back in the U.S. as well. I enjoy playing the most when players treat each other equally, so I don’t have to worry about people treating me differently or thinking that I won’t be good. I think it is important to always be welcoming no matter how good or what gender someone is because the game is more fun when everyone is comfortable. Shopping in China is a lot of fun! At a mall like Global Harbour, you can spend hours there because it is so huge. There are six floors with stores and food to choose from and each floor is so long that they have two elevators. If you don’t want to shop, there are plenty of other activities you can do there such as playing virtual reality video games, taking a pottery class, playing with kids in a ball pit and riding a carousel! I haven’t had a chance to try these things out but one fun thing I have done at the mall is karaoke. Another place that is good for shopping is called the "A.P. Plaza" that is nicknamed the "fake market" because vendors there sell what is called "knockoff goods". For example, they sell jewelry, clothing, purses, bags and electronic items that look like they're from a well-known brand but are not actually made by that retailer. That means you could buy a luxury purse or air pods for a lot less than at the brand stores because these products are not the real thing, they just look really similar. You can negotiate prices with vendors at the A.P. Plaza and pay even less than what they originally asked for.
