Traveler Bio

Howdy y’all! My name is Irene Pham, and I’m from Arlington, Texas. I’m currently a third-year microbiology major at the University of Texas at Arlington, with a minor in Korean. I've always dreamed of working in healthcare—just more behind the scenes—so I plan to attend graduate school to pursue either a PhD or a master’s in virology or microbiology.

This spring, I’m excited to take part in the Yonsei University reciprocal exchange, where I’ll be studying Korean. I’m incredibly grateful to embark on this journey, made possible by the Gilman Scholarship and the Terry Foundation. Come along as I explore Korea and all it has to offer!
