Hello, my name is Isabel, and I was born in the United States. I grew up in a small town in Connecticut with my parents and two brothers until I moved to Ohio at the age of 21. Growing up, I loved playing sports and enjoying outdoor activities. I worked on farms while in school so I could attend college. After I graduated, I wanted to share my knowledge with people around the world, so I joined the Peace Corps. This is a group of people from the United States who volunteer to live in other countries and help others learn new things. As a volunteer, I can meet new people from different cultures and learn about all the wonderful things that happen in different places. I now have friends who speak different languages and celebrate different holidays, and I have taught them about our culture in the United States.
Growing up, I always had a passion for learning, and my favorite subject was science. I love learning about nature, and learning about and caring for plants and animals is one of my favorite hobbies. I have learned about many animals through the years. I began as a young girl spending time on my grandfather's farm in Puerto Rico. There, I played with the cats, dogs and chickens. I also enjoyed meeting the parrots when we went into town.
