An Italian Life

What jobs do your parents have?:

My mom takes care of us, and my dad works in a pasticceria, which is a pastry shop where he makes delicious bricoches, cakes and pies all day long.

What time does school start, and what time do you go home?:

Our school starts at 8:30 a.m., and ends at 1:30 p.m.

How do you get to school? Are you allowed to go to school by yourself?:

I walk to school. I can go by myself because everyone else also walks to school. I walk on the streets with all of my classmates, and we get to school within about 15 minutes.

Where do you eat lunch? What is your favorite food?:

We have a break at school to eat lunch, so I normally go home and my mom makes me food. At other times, I go with my friends and get a piece of pizza or a piece of foccacia bread from a shop instead of going home. My favorite food is pizza with fries on top. I also really like my mom's pasta bolognese.

What language do you speak at school? How do you say "Hello" in your language?:

We speak Italian at school. Sometimes we have lessons for English, and there are also lessons for French. We say ciao for "hello".

What are some common kids' names at your school?:

Common names for boys are Lorenzo, Leone, Poalo, Francesco and Gianfranco. Common names for girls are Alessia, Francesca, Elena and Beatrice.

What subjects do you study in school, and which one is your favorite?:

We study all the stubjects at school. We really learn everything. My favorite is studying maths and sciences.
