Traveler Bio

Hi everyone! My name is Ivan Hernandez, and I’m a student from California who is currently studying abroad in Spain! I’ve always been curious about the world, and this trip has given me the chance to explore new places, try new foods, and meet amazing people from all over.

Back home, I study computer science and business, which means I love solving problems and building things, like apps and tools that help people. I’ve even worked at some big companies like Microsoft and Pfizer, where I learned how technology can make life better for everyone. But now, I’m learning something just as important: how to navigate a new country, speak a different language, and understand a whole new culture!

Living in Spain has been an adventure. I take public transportation to school (yes, even the metro!), cook meals with my roommates, and try local dishes like tortilla española and paella. I also make time to call my family and friends so I can share stories and stay connected. Every day, I learn something new, whether it’s how to ask for directions in Spanish or how to enjoy a quiet afternoon like the locals do.

I joined Reach the World because I want to take you along on this journey with me! I’ll be sharing stories about life in Spain, what it’s like to study here, the cool places I visit, and the fun (and sometimes silly) challenges I face along the way. I hope my experiences inspire you to be curious, ask questions, and maybe even dream about your own journey one day.
