Slovakia has its own caves adminstration dedicated to protecting the over 7,000 caves in Slovakia, called the Správa Slovenských Jaskýň, or SSJ. Only a few of those 7,000 caves are open to the public. Tourists help fund cave protection by paying for tours, which is great. However, visitors must take care to not touch any of the rocks. Our dirty hands destroy the delicate formations. So, as long as toursits remain on their best behavior, there is nothing to worry about. Go visit some caves, y'all :).
