Hola! My name is Jacob Lewis from Herndon, Virginia, just outside Washington, DC. Growing up, I loved reading, going camping and hiking, and swimming, and I was lucky enough to coach my local swim team before I went off to college at William and Mary, the second-oldest college in the country. While there, I studied economics and data science, and got to take lots of other classes in subjects like history, philosophy, psychology, and anthropology, to name a few. I started playing rugby there my freshman year, and was elected captain by my peers for my senior year.
After college, I worked in DC for a little over a year, and later in Canada as a wilderness guide for the Boy Scouts. I enjoyed that so much I decided I wanted to travel even more, and joined the Peace Corps in Peru, volunteering as a youth educator in Junín, a city high up in the Andes, next to the biggest lake in the country, and the main source of the Amazon River. I cannot wait to share all the experiences I have here with all of you! ¡Hasta luego!
