Bonjour (Hello), adventurers! My name is Jax, but you can call me "Jax on the Sax." I am 20 years old, I play the saxophone, and I am studying music in college. I love watching new shows, writing my own music, and taking a stroll to the duck pond. I grew up in Agoura Hills, California, where I also completed a music program during high school. During my time there, I found my passion of supporting other artists and creating a platform for people to perform. I created a student-run live concert, which was a blast!
Now I am majoring in Jazz Performance at NYU, running a music club, and working for a famous jazz club in Los Angeles called Sam First! I am fortunate enough to have received a Gilman Scholarship to support my endeavors to create platforms for young musical talent and create a bridge between American and French culture through music. Currently, I am living in Paris, France, hard at work at my studies, creating opportunities for student performances, and exploring the vibrant Paris music scene. I am so excited to share my journey with you as I continue to discover the rich opportunities that France has to offer!
