Hola, Estudiantes!
It is unbelievable that our time together through Reach the World has come to an end. I have enjoyed sharing my experiences and adventures with you over these past few months. Ecuador has treated me incredibly well, and I feel lucky to have brought you all along on this wild ride. I hope you learned a bit about Ecuadorian culture and maybe felt inspired to seek out your own international experience abroad some day!
As for me, I have less than a year left in Riobamba, ten months, to be exact. Time is flying by! I will teach the rest of this semester, until July, and then I have planned a trip to Peru to visit Machu Pichu! It has been at the top of my bucket list for a long time, so I'm pumped to go explore Peru and see the lost city of the Incas. I will start my last semester in October and teach until February of 2025. Then I have my C.O.S. (Closing of Service) for Peace Corps in March and I will officially complete my service in Ecuador.
My future plans are still a bit unclear right now. Luckily, with Peace Corps, there are a variety of options from which I can choose. Peace Corps has scholarship programs with many universities all over the country for graduate and PhD programs. They include all different areas of study, not only in education.
