A Conversation with Vic

I rarely wear high heels or a lot of accessories. What is your style?

What do you like to do in your free time?:

I like to do many things in my free time like hanging out with my friends. There are days when I want to go out with my friends to dance and meet new people. Other days I want to go to the beach with my family or friends. Sometimes, I want to stay at home and watch Netflix, read a book or use my cell phone.

What language(s) do you speak? How do you say "Hello" in your language?:

Portuguese is my native language and I began studying English a while ago. Today, I study English and Portuguese and will become a professor one day.

Do you have pets?:

I don't have pets.

Have you traveled? Where have you traveled to?:

I usually travel to cities in Bahia's interior. Recently, I went to Rio de Janeiro for the first time.

What do you do for work?:

I am a student at the Federal University of Bahia and I teach private English classes.

Is there anything else you would like to say to students in the United States?:

"Here in Brazil, black students don't have many opportunities to travel throughout their country or to other countries. Many, including me, dream of an opportunity for an exchange program. Take advantage of the opportunities that you have." -Victória

Black brazilians  are discriminated against. They are more likely to live in poor neighborhoods without a good education. Without an education, there are less opportunities to find high paying jobs or to study abroad like what Vic said.
