I knew that I wanted to go to a Spanish-speaking country. I was fortunate enough to go to a diverse school with many international students who have inspired me to study abroad myself. I had briefly visited Spain when I was 15, and I knew that I wanted to return when I was older and more skilled as a Spanish speaker. Remembering that wish, I chose to spend this semester in Madrid so I could have an immersive experience in this beautiful country. Now, you know a bit more about how I transformed from a Spanish novice to a college student ready to take on this journey.
