With that perspective in mind, I feel more grateful than ever before.
Through Reach the World, I have had the opportunity to meaningfully connect with all of you! Thank you for reading my posts and taking an interest in my study abroad experience. This platform has not only allowed me to share my story with all of you, but it has also required me to approach each experience with closer attention. I was able to see extraordinary potential in each and every one of you during our conversations. My wish for you is to make the most of any situation you are in and, most importantly, dare to dream! I realize the cliché in that advice, however, it can be transformative in how you live your life. If I have learned anything throughout my journey as a young adult, it is that opportunities come from doors you didn’t even know existed. It all begins with the intent of achieving something. However big or small your goals are, I urge you to educate yourself and to pursue any and every opportunity you desire.
Soon all of you will be making important decisions about what to do beyond high school. Some of you may be considering college, and others of you may be considering a gap year or another option altogether. Whichever option you decide is the best choice for you, always remember to remain curious and to never lose your student mentality. Whether you are in a classroom or not, you are a lifelong student. You will continuously learn in both traditional and non-traditional environments. Along those lines, push yourself to see the world. The excitement and allure of diving into a new culture never dies. With a global perspective, you can be a better peer to those around you.
