I flew a total of 7,696 miles this weekend because I had a family wedding in upstate New York.
Since January, I have visited Morocco, Iceland, Hungary, Portugal, France, Italy and Monaco, in addition to visiting the Balearic Islands, Ibiza and Palma de Mallorca and coming back to the U.S. for the weekend. In total, I have traveled over 18,540 miles.
I practically live on public transportation in Spain. Getting around the city by bus is an extremely convenient process because they run every five to ten minutes apart and it costs approximately €0.49 one way to reach any corner of the city. I also took the high-speed train, Ouigo, from Zaragoza to Barcelona for an hour and a half before flying home to the U.S.
The most interesting place that I visited this week was the Universidad de Zaragoza's (UZ) on-campus Museum of Natural Sciences which features the University's paleontology collection where fossils are showcased, and its longinos navás collection which comprises naturalized animals, skeletons, shells, etc. Additionally, UZ hosts temporary public art exhibitions. The one that I attended highlighted the work of Aragonese artist, Ignacio Mayayo.
