I travelled to a neighborring village to facilitate some library clubs for children in this village. We studied entrepreneurship, or starting your own business.
I think I am 10,000 miles from my hometown of Portland, Oregon. I travelled first from Portland to Washington D.C., which was 2,344 miles, then from Washington D.C. to Ethiopia, which was 7,170 miles, then from Ethiopia to Gaborone, Botswana, which was 2,467 miles. Then, from my village to Maun, twice, which was 1,440 miles, then from my village to Cape Town, South Africa , which was 1,566. For a total of about 15,000 miles. This is still not close to the distance around the world at the equator, which is 24,901 miles.
I took small taxis to get to the neighboring village. They import older models of Honda Fits from Japan, and many people use these cars for taxis and personal vehicles because they are reliable and inexpensive. I mostly biked and walked some, as well.
