Traveler Bio

Hello everyone! A few years ago, when I was studying plant biology and Chinese at the University of Vermont, it became my dream to live in Taiwan. I discovered not only could I experience incredible new ecosystems and plant life in Taiwan, but I could also improve my language skills and learn from people I would never meet in the U.S. I got the opportunity to come to Taiwan with a Fulbright grant to teach English at an elementary school for one year. I will learn from diverse teaching experiences and join community service projects needed in my community such as beach trash clean-ups. One of my favorite hobbies is playing guitar, and I even opted to check my guitar instead of another suitcase on my flight here! I hope I can incorporate guitar playing in my lessons at school. Let's connect so I can share with you how life is different yet so similar here in Taiwan!
