Hello, everyone! I’m very happy to virtually meet all of you. My name is Jose Vasquez, and I am from Las Vegas, Nevada. I have two younger brothers and one older brother. My family is from Mexico, so we speak Spanish at home. Growing up, I fell in love with Mexican dishes, especially enchiladas and birria. Here’s a fun fact about me: I went to school in Mexico for about three months when I was in third grade!

When I was your age, my friends and I loved having Beyblade battles. A Beyblade is a small toy you can spin super-fast and make it “fight” with other Beyblades. The last Beyblade still spinning wins. I remember feeling so happy spinning my Beyblade as fast as possible, hoping I’d win. At home, I played Super Mario Bros. on the Wii with my two younger brothers. At school, I always challenged my friends to races from tree to tree. Isn’t it super fun to race each other at recess?

Although I’m a little older now, there are still many hobbies I love. I really enjoy rock climbing, which means going up a wall, like the Grand Canyon, using only your hands and feet. It’s super challenging and sometimes frustrating, but its very fun. On September 21st, I got to see the World Rock Climbing Competition in Europe, which was so, so amazing!
