After a long day in the lab, of course I have to stop for my favorite French treat, macarons, on the way home. They are sweet, chewy and colorful. I pass a tiny shop with cheese from floor to ceiling, see friends chatting at a sidewalk cafe and admire a musician playing his saxophone for people passing by. I could definitely get used to life in France, but it’s soon time to head back to Norway.
I only have two more months of living in Norway before my year away from home comes to an end. It’s been a life-changing experience already, and I couldn’t have done it without the Fulbright program. Fulbright helps curious people like me – teachers, scientists, artists and authors – make connections with people and cultures all around the world. Could you see yourself becoming a Fulbright scholar like me someday? For now, thank you so much for joining me on my adventure from the oceans to the mountains and everywhere in between! Stay curious!
