This past monday was Saint John Day in Spain, so we were given the day off from work. The holiday stems from the Christian belief that Saint John baptized Jesus on June 24th. Large bonfires, fireworks, and festivals make up the celebration of this day. My friends and I went to the beach where we listened to music, ate food and took in the cultural experience.
