Salve! Greetings! My name is Kane Sandoval. I am a native of San Antonio, Texas, and lived in this culturally diverse city my whole life. I am an environmental science student at the University of Texas at San Antonio. An environmental scientist could hold various jobs, from people who study weather or sample the toxins in the water. The career I want to pursue is either a wildlife biologist or zoologist, someone who explores the world and researches animals. I am interested in the Sixth Mass Extinction, a scary event removing many species from the planet. I want to study animals to prevent their final departure. This fall semester, I was fortunate enough to enroll in a study abroad program in Urbino, Italy, where I could learn about another country's perspective on environmental issues. I initiated my adventure, experiencing much about the Italian culture and wildlife and discovering aspects of myself. I am super excited to talk to you about my time in Italy, so I can encourage you all to travel the world, too!
