Nei Hou (or Hello)! My name is Kara Ketchum (yes, like the guy from Pokemon). I am 30 years old and come from the San Francisco Bay Area. The best part about living in The Bay is the weather is nice all year round, and the region is rich with diverse cultures from all over the world.
I attended Skyline College for my Associate's Degree in Communications, then transferred to San Francisco State University to finish my Bachelor's Degree in Communications with a minor in Marketing while beginning my Graduate Degree in a blended program. So far, my research has focused on how marketing communicates through different methods (like memes!)
In my final semester for my Bachelor's Degree, I decided to study abroad in Hong Kong to make the most of my college experience. Here, I am studying Marketing and was able to do so thanks to the Gilman Scholarship. I hope my adventures will inspire you to travel the world when you are able, and I'm looking forward to being inspired by your journey through the school year!
