Hello Mrs. Hieroms’ Spanish class!
My name is Karly Feinberg. I am so excited to be in contact with all of you, and to be able to share my experience abroad together. I’ve been living in Bogotá, Colombia for two months now, teaching English, and I’m thrilled to be able to share my journey. I’m learning a lot about this great country that I can't wait to share with you. I also can’t wait to hear about what is going on in your classroom and what you are learning about.
I’m originally from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, only about two hours from where you live. It’s the sixth most populated city in the United States, although still not anywhere close to the number of people in NYC! I went to a university called Penn State in the middle Pennsylvania. There, I studied business and my major was called Corporate Innovation and Entrepreneurship. Usually, I stick with saying business, because it's easier to explain! To be innovative means to come up with new, creative ideas. An entrepreneur is someone who starts their own unique business. One day, I hope to start my very own business with what I've learned from my classes.
You might be wondering why I am currently teaching English in South America, if I didn’t study to be a teacher!
