Hello! My name is Katherine, and I am 27 years old. I grew up in Wellesley, Massachusetts, and for the past three years I've taught English, history and science in Boston while working on my Master's degree in education at Boston University. I love to read write and try new foods, and I'm alway up for an outdoor adventure like hiking or running.
This year, I'll be traveling to the island nation of Madagascar as a Fulbright English Teaching Assistant. This means I'll be teaching English to speakers of other languages (ESOL) at the Lycee Andohalo and the Lycee Moderne Ampefiloha in Antananarivo, the capital of Madagascar. In the French system, which Madagascar follows, a lycee is a school for students who are 15-to-18-years old.
When I'm not working, I'll be spending a lot of time exploring Madagascar's incredible national parks and learning more about its unique history and culture. I hope you'll join me for this adventure!
