Since it has been raining so much, the grass has grown very tall, which means it needs to be mowed. However, there are no lawn mowers here, which means the sheep have taken on the job!
The coolest thing I saw in nature this week was a lovely sunset at the beach in Miraflores. It has been so nice getting to visit this week because I have really been missing the sun and the sunsets. After so many foggy and rainy days, it felt special to finally see the sky full of warm colors again. It was beautiful to just sit back, relax and stare at something so peaceful and breathtaking.
There was not much more nature news from this week, but I did get to watch a group of surfers while I was enjoying the sunset. It was so cool to see them out on the water at the same time, riding the waves as the sky changed colors. Peru is known for having some of the best waves in the world because of its long coastline, consistent swells from the Pacific Ocean and unique underwater geography that helps create strong, clean waves. Watching the surfers take advantage of those perfect conditions made the whole evening feel even more special and peaceful.
