It has a very repetitive, upbeat rhythm, and people will dance to it for hours.
The most fun activity I had this week was getting to watch the surfers on the beach. It was even better because two stray dogs came and sat with me for almost two hours. They just stayed by my side the whole time, quietly watching the ocean with me. It made the moment feel even more peaceful and special. Dogs are definitely my favorite animals because they are so loving and loyal, and having their company made the whole experience unforgettable.
I did not do a lot of reading this week because recently, I have really been into crocheting. I am in the process of making my first ever sweater. Once I am finished, I will send a photo!
Volleyball is a very popular sport in my town. We try to play almost every day after working hours, but it has been a little more difficult because of the weather here. With all the rain and fog, the court gets wet and slippery, making it harder to play. If we are not playing volleyball, we play fútbol instead. Luckily, my town has a covered soccer field, so recently, we have found ourselves playing much more fútbol. It is a great way to stay active, spend time together and forget about the cold and rainy weather for a while.
I ran a half marathon for the first time ever last week with a group of people from my cohort. It was such a fun and empowering experience, but it was also incredibly hard. I have never pushed my body that much before in my life.
