The weather in Salvador is very consistent, and this week was no different. Typically the mornings will be around 78° Farenheit, the afternoons around 83°, and the evenings back down to 79°. We also get a lot of sun here, although we are in spring right now, which means some days are rainy. This week, there has not been much rain. Something I've noticed is different compared to the climate in Michigan is that when it rains here, it tends to not stop for hours or days at times (which can make going outside a little difficult)!
Because Salvador is such a big city (~2.5 million people), I don't see a ton of animals on the daily. There are always birds flying in the sky, though I am not sure what species. We have pigeons here just like in the U.S. that inhabit parks and grassy areas. Unfortunately, I usually see at least one cockroach a day outside, and they are huge. Yesterday, there was a small salamander on my kitchen table (this time I didn't scream when I saw it, so I will call that progress).
