Hello! My name is Katarina, but you can call me Kati. I am currently studying abroad with Semester at Sea, a program where I take classes on a ship while traveling to 11 different countries. I just departed from our
first port in Portugal and am now on my way to Morocco!
I’m a sophomore at the University of San Diego, double majoring in International Business and Marketing. I chose these majors because of my passion for travel and for learning how multinational companies participate in global trade and connect with people around the world. I also believe it’s important to know how to market yourself in all aspects of life, especially in business.
I decided to join Semester at Sea to not only learn from talented and passionate professors from around the world, but to see the world and learn more about the people and places I hope to work with in my future. I wanted to gain a global outlook on how businesses — from small local shops to huge corporations — operate and interact with their communities and with tourists. I’m so excited to take you on this journey as we learn and grow together.
Coming from Hawaii, I never thought an opportunity like this would exist, and I want to encourage anyone who has a passion for travel, business, and exploring — this can be you, too!
