Autobiography

I would love to spend at least a year in a Spanish-speaking country because I believe being immersed in a new environment is one of the best ways I can challenge myself to grow professionally. Argentina has a lot of opportunities in the field of psychology, so I am certain I would be able to find work there. I spent only two-weeks in the capital Buenos Aires before I was sent back home last year in March, right when lockdown started for Covid-19. My four-month study abroad semester was canceled.

I decided I will go to graduate school for a few more years to earn my Master’s degree in family/marriage therapy. I am always open to new opportunities. I will find a job that is related to my interests, and it will lead me to different paths that I could never plan ahead of time. If only we could see the future! But at the same time, that would be no fun, right? Life is wondrous, and I am not afraid to embark on new journeys. I am drawn to the idea of self-discovery in new and unexpected places. Maybe one day I can have the dream job to be a writer/blogger and travel!

I can’t wait to share my past adventures in Europe and South America with all of you. Here is one fun fact about me. In the country of the Czech Republic, a local mandolin maker gave me a violin for free to take back home with me from Europe! I told him I had been playing since I was four years old, and he insisted I play for him. He knew the song I played because it is super popular. Look up on Youtube the violin song “Czardas.” It’s a fun, fast-paced Gypsy song!

Buen día, good day!
