Hi, I'm Kailyn! Outside of my Asian Studies and Anthropology double majors, I like music and dancing and movies, and I also love food. I really love food! All types of food. Because I love those things, I have always been interested in different types of people and, thanks to the internet, there will always be countless videos and songs and movies made by and about differnt types of people. I like to think that I found a way to put all those things that I love together so that I can graduate college and have a job I enjoy. When I was younger, I went to a school for gifted girls called Hathaway Brown. At this school, we had to pick extra-curriculars to study outside of classes. I always loved gardening, so I chose a gardening class, and I always loved music, so I chose music class; but I also chose a class on Chinese culture. At the time, I didn't think much of it -- I just thought that I would get to make dumplings. However, this class turned out to be so much more! It opened me up to the Chinese zodiac and Chinese history. We learned about old ideas like Confucianism-- even though I couldn't pronounce that word back then--and I started to think Asian cultures were cool.
Then I turned sixteen, and my friend's sister introduced me to a boy pop group called EXO (pronounced like the first half of the word "exodus").
