Italian Transportation

How did I feel when I tried this way of getting around?:

I remember traveling by train from Birmingham, Alabama to New Orleans, Louisiana for my end-of-the-year senior trip to celebrate my graduation. It was a very affordable and stress-free train ride because the cost for a round-trip ticket at the time was only $75. I felt very relaxed but was also concerned because I was trying to figure out how to get to my hotel from the train station since I did not drive to New Orleans. Luckily, I had the option to rent a car when I arrived at my destination. I prefer to use a car as my method of transportation because I know that I will have a source of transportation while I am out of state traveling. But, if you want to travel a different way for fun or to experience what it is like to travel by train, it can be an enjoyable experience.

Is this way of getting around connected to the culture and environment, How?:

Traveling by train connects you to the everyday life of Italians. It is the most common form of transportation in which you might run into people you know daily. There is no more having to worry about missing a flight or being stuck in traffic. You're able to meet locals and create relationships on the train while traveling. You can even see the beautiful countryside while traveling by train and take in the environment around you if you take the slower, regional trains. So, not only are there fast trains that can get you from city to city, but there are also slower trains if you are traveling within the city.
