Over time the tradition of flamenco dancing has been protected and celebrated in Spain and around the world. Flamenco is deeply connected to Spain and its culture. Parts of the performance including dance, singing and guitar have been modernized over time, but there are still very traditional performances to be found. The music and guitar has had a great influence over the popular music in Spain. When people think of Spain, they often think of this exciting and artistic dance with passionate singing and music.
When I went to this show I was happy to see how much the performers loved to be on stage and share this part of their culture with the audience. It was so interesting to think about how this form of expression has developed over hundreds of years. I really loved the loudness and intensity of the singing and stomping of tap shoes. I am excited to go back and hopefully see a completely different variation of this amazing tradition!
