This week I got to go into Maseru for my doctors appointment. The city is only about a two hour drive away, but it takes me six hours in a local taxi! It's always nice to go into the capital because I get to spend a few days outside of my village in the city.
Throughout our journey together, I've mostly travelled to and from my local town called Hlotse. I take a taxi for about two hours to get there, and I usually go a couple times a month to stock up on groceries, relax and hang out with friends!
My village is pretty small, so I go pretty much everywhere on foot. Every day I walk half an hour to and from my school with my students, and we like to listen to music and enjoy the beautiful views! I can even get small necessities like eggs, toilet paper and soap at local shops, which only takes about five minuets to walk to from my house.
