Hi everyone! My name is Kiya, and I am 21 years old. I am from Warner Robins, Georgia, which is located in the middle of the state, but I go to college in southern Georgia. Because of my love of languages and politics, I decided to study political science, Spanish and TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages). To enhance my studies and learn more about Argentine Spanish and Hispanic culture and politics, I applied for and received the Gilman Scholarship, making it possible for me to study abroad at a university in Argentina. It was my first time ever traveling outside of the United States, and I really enjoyed it. I was able to taste great food, meet really nice people, and practice my Spanish. My time in Argentina was cut short by the COVID-19 pandemic, but there's still so much to share about that experience. Let's go on an adventure together!
